BB Truss & Timber is one of Victoria’s largest roof and floor truss manufacturers. As a leader in the industry for more than 25 years, the business’ continual expansion of its manufacturing operation was having a significant impact on energy costs, which peaked at over $80,000 per annum.
The owners at BB Truss & Timber engaged with Choice Energy to see how it could reduce the business’ energy costs and carbon footprint.
Choice Energy identified that a 100kW turnkey commercial solar system would help to reduce the business’ energy expenditure substantially. The installation of the solar system coincided with the fitting of LED lighting in the production plant.
Rather than paying the energy retailer for metering and getting no value back, BB Truss & Timber had an independent meter installed at no extra cost and now have Choice Energy validating the accuracy of its monthly bills.
