On the 11th June, Timbertruss in Corio, will be hosting an afternoon event on forklift safety and overhead powerlines.
The event will feature presentations from FTMA Partners, Combilift, Baumann Sideloaders, and Roadpod. Andrew Kidd, the chair of FTMA’s National Safety Council, will also be in attendance as well as a representative from Energy Safe Victoria and WorkSafe. It is a chance to discuss the forklift technology, what it does for safety, and how it will benefit workplaces to responsibly move forward.
There will also be a viewing of a safety video produced by Timbertruss for the purposes of industry wide safety when delivering to sites.
The video will outline:
-
-
- Specific hazards associated with the delivery of frames (including by crane) and roof trusses and the importance of No Go Zones (NGZ) in performing this task in the context of overhead powerlines.
- Other common issues faced by the industry when delivering to sites – parking, site access, traffic control, site conditions etc.
- What information customers need to know to meet their requirements before deliveries are made.
- The video will help all in the industry to improve safety when delivering to site.
-
Timbertruss is dedicated to this opportunity in delivering and promoting industry-wide safety – benefiting as many workplaces as possible – for all staff, contractors, customers and visitors.
To make the event available for nationwide frame and truss businesses, there will also be a live online webinar.
The afternoon session will commence at 1.00pm, and conclude at 3pm (Webinar live from 1.15pm – 2.50pm).
