Changes to Pay from Julst 1st

Earlier this month, FTMA members were informed that the Fair Work Commission (FWC) has awarded a 3.5% increase to the National Minimum Wage and minimum Award rates of pay from 1 July 2025. To maintain compliance, businesses will need to ensure if they are paying minimum rates of pay, the increases are actioned on the first pay period on or after 1 July 2025.

As they do each year, the FWC will be updating Modern Awards, Award Pay Guides and also the Fair Work P.A.C.T Calculator tool to reflect the pay increase once its effective.

At this time, the Award pay guide summaries provided to FTMA members in the HR Library will also be updated. FTMA will send to members via email, when the updated documents have been published and are ready for use.

Importantly , the Fair Work Ombudsman (FWO) will also be updating the Fair Work Information Statement, Casual Employment Information Statement and Fixed Term Contract Information Statement. Again, once these documents are published, FTMA will make these available to members.

For your records , it is also important to note on 1 July 2025, the superannuation guarantee increases from 11.5% to 12%.
