FTMA Australia is hosting State Seminars and we encourage you to lock the dates in your diary now.

As reported in last months FTMA News, we hosted our first State Seminar in Western Australia on the 27 June 2023, which was a huge success which fabricators and suppliers found informative.

We are hosting the following State Seminars in October:

  • Victoria: Tuesday 10 October
  • South Australia: Thursday 12 October
  • Queensland: Thursday 19 October
  • New South Wales: Thursday 26 October

Venues are currently being locked in, and registrations will be open at the end of August when everything is finalised.

Our Tasmanian members decided it was better to attend one of the events on the mainland, and FTMA is providing free registration to Tassie members as we recognise their need to pay travel and accommodation costs.

Seminar Agenda

We are excited about the array of speakers locked in for each State Seminar, including:

  • Tim Woods of IndustryEdge who will provide an update on the FATSO reports as well as the timber and housing markets.
  • Alastair Woodard of Wood Products Victoria who will work with fabricators to discover the barriers for those wishing to look at cassettes, midrise or fully enclosed panels.
  • Patrick Schwarzer of Alares will update delegates on the state of builders credit. Who is going bust and what to look out for.
  • An Engineer Panel involving representatives from the three nail plate companies will focusing on state specific technical issues.
  • Nikita Gentle will discuss ways in which you can find your Carbon Warrior voice and how CW can help your business.
  • We will run workshops to determine your training needs. Is the current training right for your business, and what would you like to see.
  • We have also reached out politically, to invite State Housing or Forestry Ministers, with the SA Housing Minister already locked in.

As you can see, we have a great line up of subjects and speakers for our State Seminars, and we encourage all fabricators, whether members or not, to lock the dates in their diaries now.

All State Seminars will commence at 1pm, going through to 5.30pm. Following the seminar, we will be having networking drinks and canapes before a quick networking dinner.

Even though these events are open to ALL fabricators, whether they are members or not, however, please note only supplier members and partners can attend.

If anyone has any questions about the upcoming State Seminars, please give me a bell on 0418 226 242.
