Kat comes to FTMA from a broad background of experiences.

Originally from the UK, Kat migrated to Australia in 2007, and worked as a counsellor for The Coroners Court of Victoria, and Victims of Crime. She specialised in grief and trauma supports, and running community education groups for the courts. Kat has also been involved in small community supports and sat on committees for the Kinglake Ranges Neighbourhood House and The Ellimatta Youth committee. As well as counselling qualifications, Kat has a certificate in Forest Management and more recently has just finished a Bachelor in Professional Writing and Publishing.

She lives in the beautiful Yarra Ranges with her family, and in her spare time can be found hiking in the bush, and working on her novel! Her passion is to work in a job that has an environmental edge to it, as well as combining supports to people… so Kat is very excited to be on board with FTMA and the Carbon Warrior mission, and can’t wait to be involved with the dedicated work FTMA put in to connecting and supporting its members, and getting the focus out there about the environmental benefits of the timber industry!

Welcome to the team Kat!
